Daytona race weekend!!
I'll apologize on here as I did on the Facebook Page, I've been quite busy since I got a job outside of my home so I've been tired by the time I get home but I think I've done fairly well keeping the FB page updated and here I am now working on this, if anyone reads it that is lol.
I ended up going to bed last night since I can't stand red flags, they can take forever and I had worked a 10am-7pm shift so I was quite tired lol. I would like to say congrats to Harvick on his win, even though I am not a fan of his at all!! If you know me than you definitely know this fact. It was quite a top 10 wasn't it, 8-10 was quite a surprised and wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for that wreck at the end, nice to see the two Red Bull cars finished great. Sorenson was running well all night though, I didn't even think he would be able to finish but he did which is awesome, the #83 car and the #84 both deserved the finishes they got last night. No matter what many say I think Scott Speed is a good driver, but hey that's just me! He usually always finishes, even if it is in the 20's or 30's, so hey I'd like to see some of you get in there and do what they all do week in and week out and than maybe you won't complain and diss so many of these drivers.
Big up's to my man Dale Earnhardt Jr! Great finishes both nights for him including his win Saturday night, which I missed as well and am quite sad about it! Awesome to see Jr finish in the #3 car, it's something that will always be remembered by his fans as well as his dads so way to go Jr! You needed that win too and than to finish well last night, your really proving yourself lately and showing you can run well, you were just in a major slump!! My driver didn't finish well last night which is Jimmie Johnson, he ended up getting involved in that huge wreck at the end with about half of the field which stinks!! He had a decent run going and of course I had JMac on my fantasy racing as well since he is always good at plate tracks and was also involved in the a wreck, just not a good night for a lot of my guys.
I was glad to see Mark Martin was okay after his car had caught on fire, big props and team work to Jimmie's crew for helping Mark out of that car!! That was scary but thank god we have all that safety equipment now to keep these guys safe from incidents like that one. Daytona always makes for some great racing but wrecks and some scary ones at that, glad all the guys are okay that we're involved. I would like to say to see Kyle Busch's car all wrecked and crushed was a beautiful sight since I can't stand the guy haha, and hey it was one idiot wrecking another since it looks like it was Juan Pablo's fault and than karma bit him in the ass since he was involved in that huge wreck toward the end of the race! Ahh it was wonderful haha, I just wish some of the other drivers involved weren't since the only driver's I really can't stand are the race winner, Kyle Busch and Juan Pablo Montoya.
Overall, I thought it was a decent race, minus most of my guys getting wrecked lol, but hey it happens at a place like Daytona, it's only a time of when through out the race a huge wreck or two will happen. I don't have a whole lot to say but I really wanted to update this. I wish I'd hear some of the fans thoughts on the races when I post my opinions, who was your pick? Did they finish well? What did you think about the race overall? I ask these questions and hope I will get some answers but I'm not sure of how many people read this, more people interact on the Facebook Page more and I wish I could say I'd get paid for how many people "like" a post or two or comment but I don't. The only thing I make money on on here is if someone clicks an ad or two which are the google ads on the blog itself. Check them out if your interested, most of them if not all have to do with racing and/or NASCAR!! I will be adding a new poll this week too and I will make it known on the FB page so please vote! I never seem to get enough answers to really know opinions and thoughts!! I'm trying to make the page and the blog better so if you have any ideas please contact me!!
I know Harvick won the Cup race but I'd rather post a photo of Dale Jr since I like him and am a fan and I think his win in the Nationwide Series meant more this weekend, I'm sure many would agree but than again I could be wrong.
Happy 4th of July everyone!! Enjoy your day and be safe! God Bless!

Hamlin Wins at Michigan for 2nd Straight Win
Hello again everyone!
Well, Michigan was sure exciting wasn't it? lol (just a hit of sarcasm!) that race track definitely bores me to death and than some. I checked out some of it to see where some of my favorite drivers we're on the track through out the race but I just don't find Michigan to be exciting racing by any means. So therefore since I didn't watch much of it I don't have much to say about it this week except it was really nice to see the finishers we had in the top 10 including Kasey Kahne who finished second, it would've been nice to see Triple K win since he hasn't in so long. Tony Stewart finished well, as did Jimmie Johnson and DALE EARNHARDT JR!! Can you all believe it, Jr finished 7th!! It's about time Jr had two great back to back finishes or well I consider them great because he really needed that.
What did you all think about Jr's finish and Michigan, do you find it a boring track as much as I do lol and I'm definitely not looking forward to this weekend's race in Sonoma, I hate road courses so I doubt I'll watch much of it. Who's your pick to win? I'm going to go with Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart. If it was a number of years ago I might factor Robby Gordon...yes Robby Gordon into a possible winner but not now a days. Although I do give him mad props for being one of the only owner/drivers still out there and he does always have decent sponsorship and ok runs, mainly in the 20's but occasionally a tad better. I'm sure he will still finish fairly decent at Sonoma since it is a road course race! Let's see if Jeff or Tony can win though, that would be awesome!!!
Until next time! Take care guys, sorry there wasn't much to say. Be sure to keep track of the Facebook Page, if your not liking it than please search Race Insider and like it...I try to update it daily with news, stats, when the race line up's come about, questions and much more. I've also been featuring a daily page to like each day that has to do with racing.

Wild finish at Pocono, Hamlin win's.
The biggest drama of Pocono was the incident between Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick on lap 198. I believe Harvick is to blame for what happened, yes they we're two guys racing for position but Harvick got right into Joey's left rear panel and turned him. This is one reason I'm not a Kevin Harvick fan and never will be, in my eyes he races very dirty!! Kevin Harvick is quoted as saying the following “a 20-year-old move”, “he just races without giving people any respect and not much room. So, we just wound up getting together. It’s unfortunate, but that’s the way it goes."
I was so happy to see Joey stand up for himself and confront Harvick but of course Harvick's crew had to protect him because he's nothing but a wuss outside of his race car. After the race Joey said the following and this is all direct quotes. “It‘s disappointing to be honest with you,” “We had a top-five run going. I was pretty pumped up about it. Racing (Harvick), and he let me go in the middle of the straightaway and decided to dump me on the next lap.“I don’t know what his problem is with me, but it's probably not his fault. His wife wears the firesuit in the family, tells him what to do, so it's probably not his fault ... I don't know what I ever did to piss him off, but he's obviously stupid." I think these quotes made my night and of course have still made me smile today, it's so nice to see someone finally tell the truth when it comes to Harvick's wife haha, I mean she looks like a moron, she is the only wife to wear a fire suit every single race. I mean c'mon, is it necessary to wear one?? Kevin is so whipped by Delana it's not even funny.
That huge wreck at the end wasn't very nice to see either considering it took out half the field and a number of drivers I like, not that their are many I don't like lol, if you know me than you know I can't stand Harvick, Montoya and Kyle Busch, besides that I have my favorites and others I am fine with. There has been a lot of run in's as far as teammates go this season so I shouldn't have been too surprised to hear how Kasey Kahne and AJ Allmendinger most likely won't be discussing what happened on the track. It was AJ who ran Kasey basically into the grass and Kasey couldn't turn the way he wanted so he ended up wrecking and than everyone else had nowhere to go including drivers such as Martin Truex Jr, Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, Mark Martin and many more. Apparently, Kahne and Allmendinger aren't "friends" to begin with, it was clearly stated by Kahne that he doesn't talk to AJ so he probably won't be talking to him about that incident! YIKES! I guess it's good that Triple K is going to another team next year lol, they aren't what I would call best friends, it sure doesn't sound like they even like being associated as "team mates" lol
What do you all think about yesterday's race at Pocono? How did your favorite driver finish? and who's side are you on when it comes to the incident between Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts so please feel free to comment below, it would be great to start a nice debate among fans. I will be posting a new poll on the side as well so please vote!!
As always, it's great to be back and I plan on trying to write one or two blogs a week, I know their more of my opinions and quotes but I'm not a professional reporter so I can't actually view the races in person and interview the drivers, crew chiefs and so fourth but I enjoy working on this and the fan page as well. I hope everyone has a great week and on to Michigan we go!!!

Just a quick update!
I just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten about this blog or the fan page on Facebook, I just haven't had wireless in over a month to update it. I am at the library right now but I am able to get some wireless in my apartment, it's not the best but I will do my best to keep both the blog and fan page updated with new photos, news, etc. Also a quick congrats to Kurt Busch on winning the All Star Race and than the Coke 600 at Charlotte, McMurray did awesome as well...if he had had longer and gotten out ahead of Kurt in the final pit stop of the 600 I believe he could've won it. and last but not least well wishes and get well wishes to Mr. Brian Vickers, I'm a huge fan and hope to see him back on the track next season but his health is what is most important right now.

Hamlin win's at Texas, for his second win of the year
I have to say the race was actually a very entertaining one. Denny Hamlin won at Texas Motor Speedway for his second win of the year and held off a charging Jimmie Johnson in the final laps. Hamlin didn't lead a lap all day until the final run of the race. It looked all day as if Jeff Gordon would be the one to win but Gordon was involved in a huge wreck which involved Tony Stewart and others, to me it looked like it all started when everyone got jumbled up and Jeff went a little high towards Tony but than Carl Edwards got into the back of Tony and than it was all over, a ton of very good cars were involved. It changed the outcome of the race as it gave Jimmie Johnson a huge break since he had had a tire go down earlier in the race and it had put him 1 lap down in 19th position.
I honestly thought Jeff Gordon had this win in the bag as he seemed to have the best car out of any but yet again he lost it due to something stupid and out of his control. I'm personally not a huge fan of Denny Hamlin's but I'd rather he win than Kyle Busch who I can't stand at all. I'm very impressed with the day Dale Earnhardt Jr had, he finished 8th and actually led up front for a while and it was on more than one occasion. There still needs work to be done, I agree with Jr after seeing his post race interview but he always seems so miserable, he could of at least smiled some!! I understand though because they haven't run great all season so to finally have a great fun must feel great but they need to keep the work up so they can pull off a win soon, the #88 team definitely needs a win as does Jr, he is long over due. Jeff Burton was another one who had had a great day up until the end, he really came back from that penalty and recovered well and than I don't know if he hit the wall or what happened.
Did you all enjoy the race? I'm going to try to tune into the Nationwide race which should be on now or just about now. I'm very impressed with Denny Hamlin though after having knee surgery and than he toughed it out last week at Phoenix and finished, he might have finished 30th but he finished and that's all that matters. I know a lot of people thought he should switch drivers when they changed the battery since Casey Mears was on stand by. I feel bad Casey didn't get to race but it has to be a tough position to be in as it's not actually your car either.
I will try to write a quick one up for the Nationwide race if I get it on my laptop, I can't watch it at home since no one else is into NASCAR and it will just cause problems lol but I should be able to whip something up! You all have a great night and let's look forward to Talladega, that always makes for great racing and I can't wait, it's one of my favorite tracks.

Ryan Newman Wins Subway Fresh Fit 600 at Phoenix!
Who else watched last night's Subway Fresh Fit 600 from Phoenix? It wasn't the most exciting race I've seen but I'm so happy that Ryan Newman won! Here is a quote via NASCAR.com made by Newman after the win. "I've got to throw Gibson under the bus -- he wanted to go four, and I said, 'Just give me two,' Newman said. "I liked the track position. I'd rather block than have to boot. I was in a good position there, obviously.
"I had restarted on the bottom side earlier tonight and could not get going. On two tires, I was kind of impressed -- but there were a lot of cars behind us with two tires. It was a good situation to be in. It was just the right time, right place." He hadn't won since the 2008 Daytona 500 so this win was a long time coming.
I thought Jeff Gordon had the win, just like I thought he'd win at Martinsville but Jeff stated in his interview after the race that he spun the tires and Ryan just got out ahead of him and that was it. I feel bad that Jeff hasn't won yet this year but I'm sure he will, he just hasn't come out on top in the final laps in the past couple of races like he should have. If it wasn't for that final caution, I'm sure that Kyle Busch who I can't stand would have had the win in the bag and Jimmie would have finished second but JJ did finish 3rd and I'm happy with that and he was as well so all in all a good night for the 48 Team. I was very disappointed to see that Kasey Kahne didn't have a good night as it was his birthday and the poor guy hasn't had any luck so far this year, what is up with that? What's everyone's thoughts on how the 9 team has been running so far in 2010? Paul Menard was another driver that I thought would have yet another great run but he did say that Phoenix isn't one of his best tracks and that certainly showed last night. However, he did finish well in the Nationwide Series race and is still in the top 10 in that points so congrats so far to Paul this year, he's made a lot of progress in his racing career.
On another note...Dale Earnhardt Jr finished 12th and that's a decent run for Jr, but where and when is this win going to happen? It's been a long time coming, I saw the poll on FoxSports about who do you think will end their win less steak first and most people voted Gordon and than Jr and I agree with this. I sure hope Jr can pull off a win in 2010, if not than who knows if he'll be with HMS in 2011 but Rick seems to be standing by him. Other drivers who finished well and I was surprised by was Marcos Ambrose who finished 11th, Robby Gordon 14th, and AJ Allmendinger 15th.
Was everyone happy that Newman won or are you not a fan? It was nice to see someone else win, I might be a huge Jimmie fan and of course everyone wants their driver to win each week but it wouldn't be a sport without others winning sometimes and Newman deserved the win. I have mixed feelings about them racing at Texas next week since it's not a real favorite track of mine, I'm looking forward to Talladega since I love plate racing and that is one of my favorite tracks to watch them race at...I hope to be able to attend a race at Dega one day but it can get expensive. Is anyone going to a race anytime soon? If so which race and have you been before??
I have a question for all those racing fans out there, if there was one track you could remove from the schedule which one would it be and why? Which track would you add in place of the one removed and why? I hope everyone had a great weekend, I did for the most part and I truly enjoyed seeing Newman win last night, it made my night to see him in Victory Lane again, I'm sure Tony Stewart was ecstatic as well.
